Participatory Design Workshop # 2

In this workshop, students and stakeholders began to spatially apply the values and visions, previously co-created, for a JCC in South Park and beyond into the Duwamish Valley. Through drawing and diagramming on maps of South Park, groups collectively considered location(s) for the biodigester(s); inputs and outputs for the biodigester; other pieces of the circular economy that could tie into the biodigester, or grow out of it; potentials for future development and other community amenities (housing, other industries, workforce development, open space, storm water / climate mitigation, transportation, food systems, etc.).

This spatial brainstorming was essential to identify priority areas for the students to focus on design interventions that could support a just circular South Park.
